Cookie Policy

This cookie policy explains which cookies and comparable storage technologies are used on this website and how you can control them.

1. Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small text files that a website can place in your browser. Local storage (localStorage) works similarly, storing information directly in your browser. Both serve to remember settings or state between page visits.

2. What this website stores

Without your consent, this website places no cookies on your device. It only stores a technically necessary entry in your browser's local storage that records your choice in the cookie banner. Only after your consent ("Accept all") are the analytics cookies from section 3 added:

  • Name: syntech-cookie-consent
  • Purpose: stores your choice in the cookie banner
  • Type: strictly necessary (local storage, not a third-party cookie)
  • Personal data: none
  • Retention: until you clear your browser storage

3. Google Analytics (only with your consent)

Only after your consent via the cookie banner ("Accept all") do I use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) for reach and usage analysis. It sets cookies, in particular _ga (distinguishes visitors, stored up to 2 years) and _ga_<ID> (keeps session state, up to 2 years). The IP address is processed in truncated form.

Before your consent, no analytics cookies are set; Google Analytics then transmits only anonymous, cookie-less signals (Google Consent Mode). I use no marketing or advertising services (e.g. Meta Pixel); fonts are embedded locally and videos are served directly from this website. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Further details are in the privacy policy.

4. Consent and control

On your first visit you can choose "Accept all" or "Essential only" in the cookie banner. As only strictly necessary storage currently takes place, no non-essential cookies are set without your consent.

You can view, block or delete local storage and cookies at any time in your browser settings. The legal basis for strictly necessary storage is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Further information
